Dubai Games 2025 Concludes Grandest Edition with Record Participation and AED 3.35 Million in Prizes
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, the highly anticipated Dubai Games 2025 wrapped up in spectacular fashion, marking its grandest edition yet. With 244 teams from around the world competing across various categories, the event showcased incredible talent, teamwork, and determination, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global sporting powerhouse.
Held at Dubai Festival City, the Dubai Games 2025 was organized with the support of the Dubai Sports Council, alongside Official Sponsor DP World and Diamond Sponsors DAMAC Group and Emarat. The event saw record participation and an electric atmosphere, with over 25,000 spectators cheering on their favorite teams.
Sheikh Hamdan Applauds Record-Breaking Event
Congratulating the winners, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan highlighted that Dubai Games 2025 embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to position Dubai as a global hub for sports, innovation, and excellence.
"This event strengthens Dubai’s standing on the international sporting stage and reinforces its role as a center for cultural exchange and future-driven initiatives," he remarked. Fierce Competitions and Victorious Teams
This year's edition saw thrilling action across five competitive categories, each witnessing intense battles for the top prizes.
- Battle of the Government (Men’s): The Ministry of Defence secured the championship, while Dubai State Security and Abu Dhabi Police claimed second and third place, respectively.
- Battle of the Government (Women’s): The Ministry of Education emerged victorious, with Ministry of Defence and Dubai Police finishing as runners-up.
- Battle of the Cities: Featuring teams from 50 global cities, this category delivered a historic moment as Montreal (Canada) and Colorado (USA) tied for first place, with Saint Petersburg (Russia) taking third.
- Battle of the Community: Ajman Team claimed the title, followed by Ajman Stud in second and Esaad in third place.
- Battle of the Juniors: A dedicated day on February 8 saw Gravity x Backyard Ninjas crowned as champions, with Block20 x Empire finishing second and Rashid Bin Humaid Boys School – Cycle 2 securing third.
Massive Prize Pool and Global Recognition
A record-breaking prize fund of AED 3.35 million was awarded across the categories. Winners of the Battle of the Government and Battle of the Community challenges took home AED 500,000, while second and third-place teams secured AED 250,000 and AED 150,000, respectively.
The Battle of the Cities competition had even greater rewards, with the top 10 teams earning prize money ranging from AED 500,000 for first place to AED 20,000 for ninth and tenth place.

The event wasn’t just about competition—it was a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community spirit. Senior government officials turned up in full force to support their teams, while families and fans created a lively, high-energy atmosphere throughout the games.
Dubai Games 2025 also received immense backing from both the public sector and business community. DP World served as Official Partner, while DAMAC Group and Emarat were Diamond Sponsors.
