Abu Dhabi Opens Four Multi-Storey Parking Buildings in Mohamed Bin Zayed City
Authorities in Abu Dhabi have activated four new multi-storey parking facilities in Mohamed Bin Zayed City to help ease congestion and improve parking availability in the area’s busy commercial zones.
The new facilities were introduced by Q Mobility, which operates parking services under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre.
More Than 1,400 New Parking Spaces
The four parking structures, which became operational on March 11, are located across the ME9, ME10 and ME12 sectors of Mohamed Bin Zayed City.
In total, the new buildings provide 1,446 parking spaces, distributed as follows:
-
682 spaces in ME9
-
346 spaces in ME10 (two facilities)
-
418 spaces in ME12
Dedicated parking bays have also been allocated for People of Determination to ensure accessibility and convenience.
Improving Traffic Flow in Commercial Areas
According to Q Mobility, Mohamed Bin Zayed City has experienced increasing traffic volumes in recent years due to the growing number of offices, shops and service outlets located within its commercial districts.
Limited parking capacity and irregular parking practices have often led to congestion and disruptions in traffic movement.
Authorities say the newly introduced multi-storey parking facilities are designed to increase parking capacity and reduce the time drivers spend searching for parking, thereby helping to improve overall traffic flow in the area.
Expansion of Paid Parking Systems
Earlier in 2026, Q Mobility also introduced a paid parking system in the Musaffah industrial area to help manage congestion in one of the emirate’s busiest zones.
The paid parking system was implemented across M1, M2, M3, M4 and M24 sectors, covering 4,680 parking spaces, including designated spaces for People of Determination.
Parking fees are set at Dh2 per hour, with payments available through multiple channels, including:
-
Darb
-
TAMM
-
SMS services
-
On-site payment machines
Authorities said the expansion of parking infrastructure and digital payment options aims to create a more efficient and seamless parking experience for drivers across Abu Dhabi.
