Ministry of Economy inspects Ajmans vegetable and fruit markets in cooperation with Department of Economic Development

The UAE Ministry of Economy continues to check various markets in the UAE during the Holy Month of Ramadan to guarantee that the greater need for choose consumable items is not exploited. The Ministry has performed its latest check outs covering the vegetable and fruit markets of Ajman.

The inspection was led by Dr. Hashim Al Nuaimi, Director of the Ministry's Consumer Protection Department, with the involvement of Ahmed Shaker, Head of the Consumer Protection Department of Ajman's Department of Economic Development; Sultan Abdullah Al Ansari, Head of the Combating Fraud Division of Ajman's Department of Economic Development; and Jassim Abdullah Saleh, Head of the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Division of the Ministry's Ajman office. Representatives from local media channels covered the visits.

During his inspection of the numerous stalls, Dr. Al Nuaimi told sellers to reduce the rates of some of products which were being cost a little greater rates. He likewise stressed the need to clearly show the rates on the labels used.

The Director talked with a number of shoppers during his visit, asking about any remarks or complaints regarding the cost and availability of products.
