Her Excellency Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, has called for innovative thinking to attain the government vision for leadership and quality in all areas influencing individuals's lives. HE Al Kaabi mentioned this during a development award ceremony arranged by the ministry to honour employees as part of efforts to offer staff members an inspiring environment to think creatively and embrace innovation.

The event was kept in the existence of HE Tariq Hilal Lootah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs, HE Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al Ghafli, Assistant Undersecretary for Federal National Council Affairs, and His Excellency Sami Bin Adi, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector, as well as group managers of departments and the staff of the ministry.

HE Al Kaabi pointed out that under the declaration of the Year of Innovation in 2015 by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the launch of the UAE National Innovation Strategy by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the UAE has actually charted the course for government entities to improve their efficiency levels and encouraged the private sector and the civil society organisations to adopt innovation as one of the key drivers in attaining development in the society.

Encouraging the ministry staff members to strive to contribute their innovative ideas, HE Al Kaabi stated teamwork and interaction are important to generate concepts and achieve the vision of the leadership.

As part of efforts to encourage innovation concepts, a contest titled 'Best Innovation on the Wall of Innovation' was organised for personnel of the ministry which experienced the participation of 18 staff members who created 37 concepts. Three employees were honoured on the occasion for their winning ideas.
