Women try out expert makeup techniques at DSFs MAC Instant Artistry

With an amazing line-up of events, DSFs themed Journey Into Style is offering residents and visitors the opportunity to participate and experience for themselves some of the fashion-related activities that are taking place in celebration of the longest running festival of its kind in the world.

One such attraction is MAC Instant Artistry at Bloomingdales Atrium The Dubai Mall, which runs until 11 January. Shoppers to the mall are thronging the booth to receive expert advice on makeup techniques and live demos, led by regional experts of MAC, one of the leading cosmetics brands in the world.

From letting the skilled makeup artists transform their looks based on their skin types, to simply learning the use of products and tools women are making the most of this opportunity amidst their exciting DSF shopping sprees at the mall.

Live demos projected on big screens are enabling guests to grasp the techniques in detail as they watch the artists apply makeup on models and volunteers. Interactive devices such as iPads have also been installed at the booths for women to watch and learn from expert videos and tutorials using headphones.

The milestone 20th anniversary edition of DSF is organized by the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), under the theme A Journey of Celebrations. The 32-day extravaganza will run until 1 February, offering more than 150 citywide events, mega attractions, numerous shopping opportunities and amazing winning options to residents and visitors from around the world.
