Grocery employee bags a whopping prize worth AED 500,000 in Infiniti Mega Raffle after 15-year wait
V. Tharuvai, a 50-year-old Indian national working at a grocery store in Bur Dubai, has finally reaped the fruits of patience, with the life-changing prize offered by Dubai Shopping Festival in the Infiniti Mega Raffle, which allows residents and visitors the opportunity to win QX50 and QX60 Infiniti cars in addition to AED 100,000 in cash every day until 1 February.
A true optimist at heart, Tharuvai was completely confident about winning the mega bumper prize one day. After loyally investing in three to four Infiniti Mega Raffles each edition, this year, he is truly enjoying the dividends in the form of the total prize value of AED 500,000.
A resident of Dubai for the past 32 years, Tharuvai had full faith that the city will change his life forever sooner or later. In my heart, I always believed that I will win the grand prize of the Infiniti Mega Raffle someday. Dubai has turned the dreams of so many people into a reality and I was always hopeful that my life would also take a new direction in this city, said Tharuvai with a big smile on his face.
Tharuvai, who earns AED 1200 a month, set aside half of his salary towards the purchase of the three tickets and bought the coupons from the Fahidi Kiosk in Bur Dubai. And when he received the call he had been waiting for, for the last 15 years, he knew his lifelong wish had come finally come true.
Speaking about what he plans to do with the prize, he said, I would like to start my own small grocery in Bur Dubai and also build a house for myself, my wife and three kids, back home in Kerala.
The Infiniti Mega Raffle offers DSF shoppers the opportunity to take home a whopping prize worth AED 500,000 each day of the festival until 1 February. The daily prize consists of two luxurious Infiniti models, QX60 and Q50, plus AED 100,000 in cash. Shoppers can purchase the Infiniti Mega Raffle ticket for just AED 200 at select ENOC and EPPCO petrol stations, Global Village, Gold Souk and at main streets.
As a special gesture in celebration of the DSF 20th Anniversary, shoppers participating in the Infiniti Mega Raffle will get a second chance to win with over AED 2 million in additional prizes that will be up for grabs at weekly raffle draws.
