Residents across the UAE are being invited to share their personal stories, ideas and experiences as part of preparations for the country’s 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations on December 2, 2026.

Organisers are launching a series of community workshops across the seven emirates, giving people who call the UAE home an opportunity to contribute to the planning and creative direction of this year’s National Day celebrations.

Eight Community Workshops to Be Held Across UAE

The workshops will use storytelling and creative activities to bring residents together and explore the experiences, memories and connections that shape their sense of belonging to the UAE.

The organisers said contributions from participants will help inform and enrich the 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations, ensuring that the programme reflects the diverse perspectives and experiences of communities across the country.

Eight workshops will be held over 15 days, beginning in Fujairah and travelling across the UAE.

Residents Can Register Until September 8

Those interested in participating must register through the official Eid Al Etihad website by Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Following registration, applications will be reviewed by a selection committee. Residents chosen to participate will be contacted directly by the Eid Al Etihad Team with further information.

As spaces are limited, organisers are encouraging residents to register early and share the opportunity with their families, friends and wider communities.

Organisers Seek Ideas From UAE Communities

Eisa Alsubousi, Director of Strategic and Creative Affairs of the 55th Eid Al Etihad, said residents should have an active role in shaping how the country celebrates its National Day.

“Eid Al Etihad is a celebration we all share, and our communities should have a place in shaping how we celebrate it,” he said.

He added that the workshops would provide an opportunity for people to exchange ideas, explore their creativity and contribute to the celebrations in their own way.

“It’s about coming together, listening to one another and seeing what we can create when we celebrate our UAE together,” Alsubousi said.

The organisers also said they are looking forward to incorporating ideas and creative contributions emerging from the workshops into this year’s celebrations.

The community-led initiative places residents at the centre of preparations for the 55th Eid Al Etihad, using personal stories and shared experiences to shape elements of the national celebrations.

The 55th Eid Al Etihad celebrations will culminate around December 2, 2026, the UAE’s National Day, with the community workshops serving as an early opportunity for residents to contribute to the celebrations.
