Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge Returns for 16th Edition with Road to Japan UCI Championship Qualification
The Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge, held in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, is officially back for its 16th edition, promising another thrilling season for cycling enthusiasts across the UAE and beyond. Following a record-breaking 15th edition, which attracted over 3,300 participants, the 2025–2026 challenge returns to Expo City Dubai with a full calendar of events, starting from September 2025.
The cycling season will culminate with the main event scheduled for 14–15 February 2026, serving once again as a qualifier for the prestigious 2026 UCI Gran Fondo World Series Championship. The top 25% of riders in each age category will qualify for the final in Niseko, Japan, taking place in August 2026.
The Aster BIG 5 Returns
Registration is now open for the Aster BIG 5, a unique training and racing experience comprising four Build-Up Rides leading to the 92km final event. This structured format allows cyclists to gradually improve their performance at Al Qudra Cycle Track, Dubai’s premier cycling destination.

Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge (Final Race): 15 February 2026
Riders can register for the Aster BIG 5 for AED 585, gaining access to exclusive race benefits such as finisher medals, series leader jerseys, leaderboard rankings, and prizes. First-place male and female riders in each category will don the exclusive leader jersey, identifying them as top contenders in the Build-Up series.
The event also retains its popular Team Category, inviting groups of six riders to compete together as a team throughout the competition.
