Sharjah Media Centre Launches Weekly Column for Communication Students Cooperation with Local Dailies
Sharjah Media Centre, organiser of the International Government Communication Forum, has revealed a brand-new effort to empower young national talents in government communication and boost their abilities and skills in tune with the aspirations of the UAE government. The move is designed to strengthen government communication systems with experienced nationals with the ability of handling interaction operations.
The announcement was made by HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre, throughout his conference with editors in chief of UAE day-to-day papers. The meeting saw the launch of the brand-new initiative, which is titled 'The Green Chair: Students interact', to be part of the "Green Chair" Initiative embraced by the International Government Communication Forum to allow college student to participate in the discussions on stage and express their thoughts and views.
Under this initiative, a weekly space will be allocated in all local dailies for interaction students to air their views on the progress of government communication. The conference was participated in by: Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Editor-in-Chief of Al Ittihad paper, Raed Berqawi, Executive Editor-in-Chief of Al Khaleej paper, Ali Shahdour, Editor-in-Chief of Al Bayan paper, Sami Al Reyami, Editor-in-Chief of Emarat AL Youm newspaper, Aisha Taryam, Editor-in-Chief of The Gulf Today paper, Marwan Bourjas, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Al Roya newspaper, Dr Abdul Rahman Azzi, Dean of the Communications College, University of Sharjah, and Osama Samra, Advisor to Chairman of Sharjah Media Centre.
