Salik Secures ISO 37001 Certification, Reinforcing Commitment to Anti-Bribery and Ethical Governance
Salik Company PJSC (Salik), the exclusive toll gate operator for the Emirate of Dubai, has been awarded the prestigious ISO 37001 certification for its Anti-Bribery Management System (ABMS). This significant milestone reflects Salik’s strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical governance.
The ISO 37001 certification was granted after a rigorous assessment of Salik’s anti-bribery and anti-fraud policies, processes, and compliance mechanisms. These were evaluated against internationally recognized standards and local regulatory frameworks, including those of the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA), Dubai Financial Market (DFM), and UAE Companies Law (CCL).
Salik’s Compliance Section, which oversees the ABMS, led the certification efforts, reinforcing the company’s dedication to embedding a culture of accountability and operational excellence across all levels.
Mr. Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, CEO of Salik, commented:
“Achieving ISO 37001 certification marks an important milestone in Salik’s journey towards becoming a global benchmark in corporate governance and ethical business conduct. It reflects our deep commitment to operating with the highest standards of transparency and accountability, while creating sustainable value for our shareholders, stakeholders, and the broader community.”
ISO 37001 is the globally recognised standard for anti-bribery systems, offering a structured approach for organizations to prevent, detect, and respond to bribery risks through robust internal controls, due diligence procedures, and enforcement of anti-corruption policies.
This certification not only enhances investor confidence but also strengthens Salik’s reputation as a well-governed public company. It further aligns with the UAE’s vision of fostering sustainable economic development through ethical business practices and regulatory compliance.
