Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals Strengthens Its Presence in the UAE
Saint-Gobain Construction Chemicals, through its Chryso subsidiary, has successfully acquired WinChem Middle East Chemical Industries LLC ("WinChem"), a key manufacturer and supplier of concrete admixtures for the construction industry in the United Arab Emirates.
Established in 2014, WinChem offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services for the ready-mix and precast concrete industries. The company employs 17 people and operates a plant in Umm Al Quwain, with a sales office in Dubai.
WinChem's products will complement the offerings of the Chryso and Weber brands, both well-recognized in the UAE. This acquisition presents a significant opportunity to advance the development of Chryso technologies, including new-generation superplasticizers, decorative ranges, and screed solutions in the local market.
As the construction sector increasingly focuses on sustainability, WinChem will benefit from Chryso's expertise, innovation, and R&D capabilities to support customers in developing low-carbon materials. Together with Chryso, Weber, and WinChem, Saint-Gobain aims to accelerate its growth in the UAE by expanding its range of solutions for light and sustainable construction.
