PTCL Wins SAMENA LEAD Best Business Strategy & Expansion Award

Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd. (PTCL) has been awarded the prestigious Best Business Strategy & Expansion Award at the second edition of the South Asia – Middle East – North Africa Leadership and Excellence Awards in Digital Development (SA-ME-NA LEAD). The award was presented during a special ceremony held in conjunction with GITEX GLOBAL, the world's largest technology and startup exhibition.

The SAMENA LEAD Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in digital development and ICT innovation across South Asia, the Middle East, North Africa, and Central Asia. This year's awards highlighted key advancements in areas such as 5G adoption, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), regulatory enablement, and user experience enhancement.

Mr. Bocar A. BA, CEO and Board Member of SAMENA Telecommunications Council, presented awards to 34 leading entities from the region, acknowledging their significant contributions to shaping the digital landscape. He emphasized the progress made over the past year by both the private sector and regulatory authorities in driving digital transformation.

Mr. Hatem Bamatraf, President and Group CEO of PTCL, accepted the award, expressing PTCL's ambition to evolve beyond traditional telecom services and become a key player in Pakistan's digital ecosystem. “Our vision is to position PTCL Group as a true digital enabler, supporting societies, individuals, and governments in achieving economic growth and fulfilling the vision of a Digital Pakistan," he said.

He further noted PTCL's ongoing investments in digital infrastructure, including mobile networks, fixed broadband, and data centers, which will strengthen its leadership in the digital era. PTCL's acquisition of Telenor Pakistan, pending regulatory approval, was also highlighted as a strategic move towards expanding its role in Pakistan’s evolving IT ecosystem.

PTCL's efforts to enhance customer satisfaction have paid off, with the company maintaining the highest Net Promoting Score in wireless services and achieving the highest Customer Happiness Index for its wireline services. By focusing on both customer-centric initiatives and large-scale industry projects, PTCL is positioning itself as a true enabler of economic and social progress in Pakistan.
