ONDA Forms Joint Venture in UAE to Accelerate Middle East Expansion

ONDA, South Korea’s leading AI and big data-driven hospitality technology company, has announced the establishment of a joint venture with UAE-based Seed Group to fast-track its entry into the Middle East market. This partnership leverages Seed Group’s extensive regional networks and positions ONDA to localize and expand its proprietary technology in the region.

The company plans to complete SaaS localization testing for its cutting-edge hospitality solutions by the first half of 2025. This move is part of ONDA’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the Middle East through diversified marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships.

ONDA: A Hospitality Tech Leader
ONDA dominates the South Korean online booking market, distributing 60–70% of products locally. The company’s global influence is underscored by its partnerships with industry giants like Airbnb and Trip.com, where it was recognized as an Excellent Partner. Additionally, ONDA earned the title of Advanced Connectivity Partner from Booking.com in 2024 and became the first Korean firm to rank 34th on Skift’s Global PMS Vendor list, highlighting its innovative edge in hotel technology.

Middle East Initiatives
ONDA has actively participated in high-profile Middle Eastern exhibitions, including Expand North Star and GITEX 2024, where it showcased its advanced hospitality solutions to major hotel chains. These solutions include:

  • ONDA HUB, the centerpiece of its online distribution platform.
  • Central Reservation System (CRS) for seamless bookings.
  • Property Management System (PMS) for efficient hotel operations.

The company also engaged with industry stakeholders at seminars hosted by Dubai Chambers, creating new business opportunities and partnerships.

CEO Kevin Oh commented on the company’s expansion, stating:
“ONDA’s strengthened local networks and strategic initiatives are yielding remarkable results, marking the start of a new chapter in our journey. This joint venture with Seed Group will act as a growth engine for ONDA in the MENA region’s promising hospitality market.”

With this joint venture, ONDA is poised to revolutionize the Middle Eastern hospitality industry, driving digital transformation and setting a new benchmark in hotel technology.
