NEP Group Appoints Mohammad Hammoud as First Chief Commercial Officer for Middle East and Asia

In a strategic move to strengthen its presence in the Middle East and Asia, NEP Group, the global leader in media services for live sports and entertainment, has appointed Mohammad Hammoud as its first Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for the region, effective May 12. This key hire underscores NEP’s commitment to expanding its footprint and delivering enhanced production solutions across these dynamic markets.

Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Hammoud brings more than 20 years of experience in media and advertising, with expertise spanning commercial strategy, digital transformation, revenue diversification, and risk management. Before joining NEP, he served as VP Commercial & Strategic Advisor at Rotana Media Services, where he guided the executive team on market trends and high-impact initiatives.

Hammoud will report to Martin Stewart, NEP Group CEO and interim regional president, as well as Mike Werteen, Global CCO of NEP Group. His immediate focus includes engaging with NEP’s clients and teams across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, India, and Singapore.

Hammoud’s first public appearance in his new role will be at CABSAT 2025 in Dubai, taking place May 13–15 at Stand PD52, where NEP will showcase its cutting-edge outside broadcast (OB) fleet, including a brand-new OB facility.

Martin Stewart welcomed the appointment:

“I’m very pleased that Mohammad is joining our team at a time of opportunity in the region and for NEP as we continue to expand our service offerings. His market insights and experience in building strategic, high-performing sales teams will be invaluable.”

Mohammad Hammoud commented on his appointment:

“I am thrilled to join the NEP team as CCO to continue building on the company’s momentum and growth. It’s an exciting time for us to expand our reach and to introduce our customers to a full range of customer-driven, innovative solutions for any size or type of production.”

NEP’s investment in leadership and infrastructure signals its dedication to being at the forefront of broadcast and live production services in the region.
