Naser Taher, Founder and Chairman of MultiBank Group, has received two major recognitions in the Middle East in 2026, highlighting his leadership and contribution to the financial services and digital assets sectors.

Taher was named among the Forbes Middle East Top 100 CEOs 2026, an annual ranking that recognises prominent business leaders across major industries and their role in shaping the region’s corporate landscape.

The recognition comes more than two decades after Taher established MultiBank Group in California in 2005. The financial derivatives institution has since moved its headquarters to Dubai and expanded its international operations across more than 100 countries.

The Group currently serves more than two million institutional and retail clients and holds licences from more than 18 financial regulators across five continents.

Recognition for FinTech and Digital Assets

Taher was also honoured at the 9th Golden Excellence Awards 2026, receiving the Golden Excellence Award for FinTech, Digital Asset and Blockchain Excellence.

The award was presented by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance & Coexistence, during a ceremony in Dubai.

The recognition comes as MultiBank Group continues to expand its activities in the digital asset sector. Through mb.io, its cryptocurrency exchange regulated by Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), the Group has expanded into cryptocurrency spot trading and real-world asset tokenisation.

Three Decades Across Global Financial Markets

Taher’s career in financial services spans more than 30 years and includes experience across several international markets. His professional background includes leading development projects at the Irish Stock Exchange, as well as financial and advisory roles associated with organisations and government entities in China.

His career has evolved alongside major changes in global financial markets, including the growth of internationally regulated financial services and the emergence of blockchain technology, tokenisation and digital assets.

The two 2026 recognitions highlight Taher’s continued involvement in an industry undergoing significant technological and structural change, while also reflecting the growing role of Dubai and the wider Middle East in financial services and digital asset development.
