Coming on the heels of engaging live theatre performances organised by professional troupes at Modhesh World, the indoor theme park has now unveiled a new set of dramatics and dance events for the upcoming weeks of summer. In the past few days, visitors enjoyed Alice in the Wonderland, Peter Pan and Aladdin in Show Town zone (Hall 6) of Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), where children interacted with their favourite characters and took home valuable lessons.

Modhesh World has announced the addition of Cinderella and Modhesh Roller Show, a freestyle roller skating and acrobats event uniquely choreographed for the venue, to step up the level of fun and entertainment at one of the most popular indoor edutainment destinations in the region.

Suhaila Saqer Obaid Ghubash, Director, Festivals and Events, Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), said: In this edition of Modhesh World, we have attempted to keep the audience guessing by continuously refreshing our entertainment offerings and hosting a range of stories. The Show Town zone is a popular venue at the park; this is where children explore their imagination, adults relive their childhood and families live in the moment. We look forward to unveiling more live performances and spreading happiness amongst visitors.

Cinderella
The story of Cinderella represents the aspirations of every girl longing for love in the fascinating world of fairies. Little visitors at the Show Town zone will witness her life acted out by professional artists a young beautiful woman trapped by a stepmother and sisters goes to a ball in search of the Prince. At the stroke of midnight, the girl is forced to leave the dance while the Prince gets hold of her sandal. And thus begins a new adventure. Six professional artists at Modhesh World narrate a shorter and more music-oriented version of this popular drama, making the entire show a audio-visual treat with colourful costumes, intriguing sound effects and life-like backdrops that turn the zone into a virtual palace. Songs too are performed live and the little audience members are encouraged to join the chorus.

What children learn: The Cinderella show aims to excite the imagination of children, make them fall in love in fairytales and demonstrate in a fun environment that truth always triumphs over evil despite hardships. Performers also teach children to be courageous but kind to each other.

Timings: Cinderella will run till 24th July
Saturday to Wednesday: 1 pm, 3 pm, 5 pm and 7:30 pm
Thursday to Friday: 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, 8:15 pm.

Modhesh Roller Show
What happens when professional skaters, BMX riders, acrobat experts, dancers and actors come together on a stage? The result is a dynamic and breathtaking live performance that enthralls people of all ages, young and old. The Modhesh Roller Show is the newest addition to Show Town zone in Modhesh World and features the story of a BMX rider who steals ice creams from a girl who runs an ice cream truck. Friends of the girl who are experts in acrobats, freestyle skating and breakdancing get together to hunt down the rider and retrieve the ice creams. As the story unfolds and performers exhibit their exceptional talents, the audience is drawn into the adventure on the stage as they cheer for their friends to get hold of the BMX rider. The show ends with a collective performance where the six individual performers flaunt their acrobatic skills and conclude the adventure on a happy note.

What children learn: Children are immersed into the energetic atmosphere and learn the importance of friendship, of fighting unfair practice and most importantly, of forgiveness.

Modhesh World runs from June 20th to August 12th, 2017 in Hall 1-6 in the Dubai World Trade Centre. Tickets are valued at just AED 20 and kids under the age of two enter for free. Regular timings: 11:00 am to 11:00 pm from Saturday to Wednesday and 11:00 am till midnight from Thursday to Saturday. As a special gesture, Modhesh World organisers have introduced a happy hour where visitors now can enjoy 50% discount on entry fee and select rides from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm till August 12th, 2017.
