MD & CEO of DEWA receives President of Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association
Dubai, UAE, 12 March 2015: HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) received in his office a delegation from the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA), and representatives of top Indian companies in these areas. The delegation was headed by SanjeevSardana, Chairman Mission Plan 2012-2022 of IEEMA and Chairman of ELECRAMA, Indias electricity and electronics exhibition and a number of CEOs of top Indian companies.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources, Abdul Syed Abdul Hameed, Senior Manager of Contracts, Ahmad Abdulla, Senior Manager of External Communications, and Saeed Beljafla, ActingSenior Manager of Government Relations.
Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, emphasising the importance of enhancing collaboration between DEWA and Indian electricity and electronics companies. He invited the delegation to take part in the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2015. Over 1,500 international companies have registered in WETEX 2015 so far. The exhibition is expected to attract a record number of visitors, following the success of WETEX 2014, which drew over 23,000 visitors.
The delegation invited Al Tayer to deliver a keynote speech at the inauguration ceremony of ELECRAMA 2016, in Bangalore, India on 13 February 2016. IEEMA organises ELECRAMA, which is one of the leading electrical and industrial electronics events. It showcases all types of equipment for generation, transmission, distribution, electrical power use, instrument transformers, transmission line towers, cables, and winding wires.
Founded in 1948, IEEMA represents the entre Indian electrical and industrial electronics industry. It represents Indiasmanufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment. IEEMA maintains dialogue with the government of India, its departments, electricity utilities, users, standardisation bodies, educational institutions, research, development and testing agencies.
