MBRF Concludes Successful Participation at Frankfurt Book Fair 2024, Featuring Insightful Dialogues

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) concluded a highly successful participation at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2024, held in Frankfurt, Germany. MBRF showcased a range of knowledge, scientific, and literary projects, while hosting a series of panel discussions and workshops aimed at fostering the dissemination of knowledge across communities.

During the event, MBRF engaged with leading regional and global publishing houses. His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, met with prominent figures including Mohammed Rashad, President of the Arab Publishers’ Association; Nopi Chatzigeorgiou, President of the Association of Greek Publishers and Booksellers (ENELVI); Adam Ridgway, Director of the London Book Fair; and a delegation from China’s largest publishing houses, among others.

H.E. bin Huwaireb emphasized the importance of international book fairs in providing platforms for intellectual exchange and collaboration, noting that they create opportunities to explore key literary and intellectual trends. He further stated: "At MBRF, our participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair aligns with our mission to spread knowledge across the Arab region and the world, raising societal knowledge levels and empowering future generations with advanced tools."

MBRF hosted multiple sessions as part of its ‘Knowledge Dialogues’ series, offering a platform for speakers and participants to discuss challenges and trends in the knowledge domain. Highlights included a virtual discussion titled ‘My Story with the Novel’ featuring Dr. Shahla Ujili, and an assessment of digital transformation paths by expert Jaskaran Singh.

Other sessions included ‘Future Programming – in Arabic’ led by programmer Waleed Al Baz, and ‘Research for Impact,’ featuring Oxford-Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Graduate Scholar Karim Al Mahayni, which explored the transition of communication in the digital era. A session on the ‘Principles of Drawing for Children’s Stories’ guided by trainer Fatima Al Ameri, and a personal testimony by translator Kholoud Al Khatib, were also among the event’s highlights.

The discussions and insights shared during MBRF’s participation reflect its dedication to knowledge generation and dissemination, further advancing the Foundation’s role in fostering intellectual growth within the Arab region and beyond.
