Mahindra Insurance Brokers Expands with New Reinsurance Division in DIFC
Mahindra Insurance Brokers Ltd., a subsidiary of the Mahindra Group, has launched a new reinsurance division at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), marking its entry into the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. This expansion aims to capitalize on regional growth opportunities and provide a comprehensive range of reinsurance services to new clients across the MENA market.
The new division will enable Mahindra Insurance Brokers to tap into a wider client base, offering its expertise in reinsurance transactions and delivering reliable and efficient services. The company, which started operations in 2004, expanded its reinsurance business in 2012 and has been serving clients globally, including insurers and reinsurers. Its entry into the MENA market is a strategic move to meet the rising demand for reinsurance solutions in the region.
Vedanarayanan Seshadri, Managing Director & Principal Officer of Mahindra Insurance Brokers Ltd., said, "Our goal in the MENA region is to deliver substantial value to clients within the reinsurance broking industry. With significant reinsurance capacity in the region, we aim to provide localized expertise backed by global experience."
Salman Jaffery, Chief Business Development Officer of DIFC Authority, welcomed the firm, noting that DIFC is home to over 125 insurance and reinsurance entities, making it the perfect platform for Mahindra to grow its business in the region.
