Huawei Showcases Wi-Fi 7 Innovations and Launches Season 4 of Global ‘Imagine Wi-Fi 7 to Reality’ Program

At the Huawei Networking Summit 2025 held in Tashkent, Huawei celebrated the remarkable progress of Wi-Fi 7 technology by honoring nine regional winners from the third season of its flagship program, Imagine Wi-Fi 7 to Reality. The initiative highlights groundbreaking applications of Wi-Fi 7 in the Middle East and Central Asia and reinforces Huawei’s commitment to advancing next-generation connectivity.

Launched in January 2025, the third season of the program has attracted a wide array of innovators and ICT professionals who have presented transformative applications of Wi-Fi 7 in sectors such as education, healthcare, finance, and manufacturing. These real-world use cases aim to fast-track the technology’s adoption and amplify its impact across the region’s economic sectors.

Shawn Zhao, President of Enterprise Networks Business at Huawei’s Data Communications Products Division, stated:

“The Imagine Wi-Fi 7 to Reality program fuels digital transformation by exploring practical applications and the immense value Wi-Fi 7 can bring to businesses and communities. The award-winning projects exemplify how Wi-Fi 7 can reshape operations and elevate service delivery.”

In line with Huawei’s vision to drive global digital innovation, the company also announced the launch of the program’s fourth season during the summit. Conducted in partnership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and other global technology leaders, the new season will expand the program's international reach, aiming to cultivate a new generation of Wi-Fi 7 experts, build collaborative ecosystems, and accelerate widespread enterprise adoption.

Huawei’s leadership in Wi-Fi 7 has earned multiple industry accolades, including recognition as a leader in the 2024 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ and the 2024 Gartner® Peer Insights™ Customers' Choice for wired and wireless LAN infrastructure. Additionally, Huawei received the "Best Enterprise Wi-Fi" award from the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) for its energy-saving smart access point solution.

The company’s all-scenario Wi-Fi 7 portfolio includes advanced wireless access points equipped with proprietary channel status sensing technology. These devices integrate with Huawei’s Digital Workplace platform and third-party systems, enabling intelligent power management in smart offices and manufacturing environments. Technologies such as iCSSR (AI-powered Smart Coordinated Scheduling and Spatial Reuse) and Wi-Fi Shield enhance performance, reduce interference, and boost wireless security in dense environments.

By continuously investing in research and development, Huawei is playing a pivotal role in shaping global WLAN standards and leading the standardization of Wi-Fi 7. The company’s latest Wi-Fi 7 solution for Xinghe Network Smart Workplaces sets new benchmarks for enterprise wireless connectivity with unmatched performance, security, and intelligence.

“Our vision is to make high-quality Wi-Fi 7 accessible to organizations worldwide,” added Zhao. “With initiatives like Imagine Wi-Fi 7 to Reality, we are transforming this vision into tangible progress.”
