GEMS Education Launches GEMS School Management to Deliver World-Class Schools Globally

GEMS Education has unveiled GEMS School Management (GSM), a bold new global initiative aimed at building and operating exceptional, future-ready K-12 schools in partnership with governments, developers, school groups, investors, and communities. Backed by over 65 years of educational excellence, GSM brings a full-spectrum “school-in-a-box” solution to the global education market.

Already in advanced talks with clients across eight international markets, GSM has received strong interest for its all-in-one approach to designing, staffing, and operating high-performing schools.

A Turnkey Solution with ASPIRE at Its Core

At the heart of GSM is its proprietary ASPIRE model, developed by GEMS' leading educators across its global network. ASPIRE enables partners to rapidly launch schools aligned with British, American, Indian, IB, or local curricula, delivering world-class education while meeting the specific cultural and community needs of each location.

Each ASPIRE package includes:

  • Curriculum frameworks

  • Architectural design and planning

  • Recruitment and educator training

  • IT systems integration

  • Safeguarding protocols

  • Marketing and operations strategies

According to GEMS, the model allows for fully operational schools to be launched within 12 months, making it ideal for both new school builds and upgrades of existing institutions.

Global Reach, Local Impact

Robert Tarn CBE, Managing Director of GEMS School Management, emphasized the transformative potential of GSM during the global launch:

“We’re working with partners who want more than just good schools – they want schools that set benchmarks. Whether you’re a government or a school group looking to scale, GSM brings the full GEMS ecosystem to the table—outstanding educators, proven systems, and turnkey models.”

Tarn noted that many of GSM’s partners already have the land, funding, and ambition, but lack deep operational expertise in education. “That’s where GSM comes in. We’ve done the heavy lifting so partners can launch high-impact schools confidently and quickly,” he added.

Flexible, Customizable Models

GSM’s flexibility allows partners to choose from premium or mid-market offerings, tailored to fit regulatory, financial, and social contexts. From elite capital city campuses to affordable schools in underserved areas, GSM is designed to serve a wide spectrum of educational goals.

In addition to launching new schools, GSM offers bespoke enhancement contracts to improve existing educational institutions, allowing them to benefit from GEMS’ procurement scale, cost efficiencies, and global know-how.

Sharing GEMS' Educational Legacy

Sunny Varkey, Chairman and Founder of GEMS Education, described GEMS as a natural evolution of the GEMS mission:

“Every child deserves access to world-class education, no matter where they are. GSM is how we share our legacy, our expertise, and our belief in education’s power to change lives. Together, with like-minded partners, we will build schools that shape not only futures, but nations.”

With GSM, GEMS Education aims to scale its proven approach to quality education on a global level, making high-performing, purpose-built schools accessible in both emerging and established markets.
