GE HealthCare Reinforces Commitment to Egypt's Healthcare Sector at Africa Health ExCon
GE HealthCare (Nasdaq: GEHC), a global leader in medical technology and digital solutions, has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing Egypt's healthcare sector through its participation in the third edition of Africa Health ExCon, taking place from June 4 – 6 in Cairo. This event, a premier platform for promoting health technology and innovation across Africa, will see GE HealthCare showcasing its latest innovations in precision care, diagnostics, and imaging.
The company’s involvement underscores its dedication to supporting Egypt’s Vision 2030, which aims to provide higher-quality healthcare access to all segments of society. GE HealthCare will present a comprehensive portfolio of cutting-edge medical technology, intelligent devices, and care solutions designed to address modern clinical challenges. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore advancements in patient screening, diagnostics, therapy planning, guidance, and monitoring.

GE HealthCare’s initiatives in Egypt include a one-year multi-modality training program for clinicians and technicians at Ain Shams University Hospital, launched in 2023, to foster local talent and improve clinical capabilities. The company has also supported the Ministry of Health's "Living with Dignity" (Hayat Karima) program by providing over 1,000 units of ultrasound equipment and specialized training for clinicians in Sinai.
Additionally, GE HealthCare has backed a national prostate cancer screening program, demonstrating significant benefits and early success. The introduction of a pilot program for digital asset management analytics on MRI machines has shown promising results in optimizing equipment utilization and increasing patient treatment capacity, paving the way for further expansion.
