FuelBuddy, a technology-driven doorstep fuel delivery company operating across India, the UAE and Africa, has appointed Vinamra Shastri as a Non-Executive Director to its Board.
The appointment is aimed at strengthening FuelBuddy's corporate governance, strategic oversight and board processes as the company expands its operations across multiple markets.
Vinamra Shastri Brings 25 Years of Experience
Shastri brings more than 25 years of experience with global professional services firms. He currently serves as a Market Leader at Grant Thornton India and sits on the boards of companies across various industries.
He also mentors startups and manages a SEBI-registered fund, bringing experience across corporate strategy, governance and board advisory.
Adnan Kidwai, Co-Founder of FuelBuddy, said Shastri's experience in corporate governance, strategy and board advisory would support the company's next phase of growth.
“As we scale our technology-led fuel management platform across India, the UAE and Africa, his two decades of experience in corporate governance, strategy and board advisory will be invaluable in sharpening our oversight and guiding our next phase of growth,” Kidwai said.
He added that Shastri's experience in building consulting practices and advising companies across different sectors would strengthen the company's Board.
Focus on Governance and Sustainable Growth
Commenting on his appointment, Shastri said FuelBuddy is addressing longstanding challenges in the fuel supply chain, including fuel pilferage, spillage and limited visibility.
He said governance discipline and strategic clarity would be important as the company expands across markets.
“I look forward to bringing that lens to FuelBuddy's board as it expands across India, the UAE and Africa, and to working with the Board and the leadership team,” Shastri said.
FuelBuddy's latest board appointment comes as the company continues to expand its technology-led fuel management platform across its existing markets and focuses on building its operations and governance framework for further growth.
