FTA Highlights Key Role of Certified Tax Agents in UAE's Corporate Tax System at Annual Forum
The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) reinforced the critical role of certified tax agents in navigating the evolving corporate taxation landscape at its Annual Forum, held at Zayed University’s Convention Centre. The event, which took place on 18 September, gathered over 180 certified tax agents and FTA officials for a day of discussions aimed at enhancing compliance and transparency in the UAE's tax system.
Zahra Al-Dahmani, Director of the Taxpayer Services Department at the FTA, delivered the opening address, stressing the need for continuous professional development. "Corporate taxation is constantly changing," she said. "The FTA is dedicated to equipping tax agents with the knowledge and tools they need to stay ahead of these changes and serve businesses effectively."
The forum covered key corporate tax regulations, including the Free Zone Corporate Tax regime, with a focus on registration processes through the EmaraTax digital platform. Attendees also received guidance on best practices, ethical standards, and the significance of maintaining transparency within the tax ecosystem.
The FTA reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with tax agents to build a compliant, efficient tax environment. The forum concluded with an interactive Q&A session, fostering open communication between agents and FTA representatives.
