Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi Launches ‘Training and Exercise System’ at GITEX 2024
The Emergencies, Crises and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) unveiled the ‘Training and Exercise System’ as part of its ‘Crisis Management Platform’ during GITEX 2024. The new system is aimed at enhancing preparedness, strengthening response strategies, and fostering collaboration among various stakeholders in emergency, crisis, and disaster management operations.
The system is divided into two key components:
- Specialised Training Platform
- Exercise and Evaluation Platform
These components provide specialized training programs and facilitate simulated joint exercises, helping to build capacity for crisis resilience and improve real-time response strategies. The automated system also helps organize training courses and workshops, enabling the design, implementation, and evaluation of response improvements. The aim is to enhance coordination between government and private organizations in Abu Dhabi and increase their collective ability to respond effectively in the event of an emergency.
H.E. Matar Saeed Al Nuaimi, Director General of ADCMC, emphasized that the launch aligns with Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global leader in emergency and crisis management. He stated, "Through an integrated and diverse training system, we aim to bolster joint preparedness and ensure public safety by improving crisis response capabilities."
Khalifa Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Head of Exercise Evaluation Section at ADCMC, added that the system reduces manual training processes and facilitates faster decision-making using intelligent simulation tools, enhancing operational efficiency and improving overall emergency responsiveness.
This initiative highlights ADCMC’s commitment to investing in national talent development, supporting Abu Dhabi’s goal of maintaining high levels of public safety and security, and strengthening community protection.
