ADDED Partners with 7X to Accelerate Digital Transformation with 'Wayn' Digital P.O. Box

The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 7X to introduce the ‘Wayn’ Digital P.O. Box service to licensed businesses in Abu Dhabi. This initiative is part of ADDED’s efforts to drive digital transformation, enhance secure postal services, and support the local economy. By utilizing Wayn, companies can streamline their communications and ensure secure exchanges of documents, parcels, and e-bills, reducing the risk of cyber threats like phishing and fraud.

The Wayn platform provides a permanent digital address linked to users’ physical locations, verified through national ID or the National Economic Register (NER). Licensed businesses in Abu Dhabi will gain access to this system to improve trust, efficiency, and operational cost-effectiveness in document and shipment management, reducing delivery times by up to 70% and cutting costs by up to 65%. The service also offers various delivery options, including Emirates Post branches, authorized pick-up points, home delivery, and office services via the MyHome Package.

The agreement was signed at the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi booth during GITEX Global 2024 by H.E. Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Business Centre, and H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Alashram, Group CEO of 7X.

H.E. Mohammed Munif Al Mansouri stated, “This collaboration further enhances Abu Dhabi's position as a business hub by providing innovative digital solutions that increase operational efficiencies and bolster cybersecurity for companies operating in the Emirate."

H.E. Abdullah Mohammed Alashram highlighted the importance of the partnership in advancing Abu Dhabi’s economic vision, saying, “This MoU underscores our commitment to supporting the UAE’s growth as a global leader in trade, investment, and technological innovation.”

This partnership is a key milestone in improving digital communication infrastructure, safeguarding businesses against cyber threats, and equipping companies with cutting-edge tools to stay competitive in an increasingly digital global market.
