Emaar Development Reports 37% Surge in Property Sales, Reaching AED 40.6 Billion in H1 2025

Backlog Soars 59% to AED 117.7 Billion, Demonstrating Strong Market Demand and Project Pipeline

Emaar Development PJSC (DFM: EMAARDEV), the UAE’s leading build-to-sell real estate developer and a majority-owned subsidiary of Emaar Properties PJSC, has reported robust performance in the first half of 2025 (January–June), with property sales reaching AED 40.6 billion (US$ 11 billion)—a significant 37% increase compared to the AED 29.7 billion (US$ 8.1 billion) recorded during the same period last year.

The company also saw a 59% rise in its revenue backlog, which increased to AED 117.7 billion (approximately US$32 billion) as of June 30, 2025, indicating strong forward momentum and a solid project delivery pipeline over the coming years.

Key Financial Highlights for H1 2025:

  • Revenue: AED 10 billion (US$2.7 billion), marking a 35% increase year-on-year

  • EBITDA: AED 5 billion (US$1.4 billion), up by 47%, maintaining a healthy 50% margin

  • Net Profit before Tax: AED 5.5 billion (US$1.5 billion), reflecting a 50% increase, with a net margin of 55%

  • Project Launches: 25 new projects across strategic masterplan communities

This growth is driven by Emaar’s continued success in launching high-demand residential and mixed-use developments, bolstering its leadership position in the competitive UAE property market.

Strategic Focus on Innovation, Quality, and Sustainability

Emaar Development has reaffirmed its commitment to sustainability, focusing on energy efficiency, resource optimization, and environmental responsibility across all new developments. The company’s continued emphasis on quality delivery and customer satisfaction has further strengthened long-term trust and loyalty among its buyers.

Leadership Insight

Mohamed Alabbar, founder of Emaar, emphasized the significance of the company’s performance:

"Our results for the first half of 2025 demonstrate resilience and dynamism in a competitive market. Beyond financial metrics, we remain dedicated to elevating lifestyles and creating communities where people can truly grow."

He added:

"Rather than reacting to market shifts, Emaar is actively shaping what the future of urban living looks like. By blending visionary design with sustainability and cutting-edge technology, we are creating spaces that reflect the aspirations of today and the possibilities of tomorrow. This is how we turn growth into legacy."

With a powerful combination of operational excellence, visionary leadership, and sustainable innovation, Emaar Development continues to set benchmarks for urban development in the UAE and beyond.
