Ducab Metals Business Unveils Advanced Conductor Technologies to Support Future Energy Infrastructure
Ducab Metals Business (DMB), a subsidiary of Ducab Group and a global provider of copper and aluminium solutions, is showcasing its advanced conductor technologies at the 50th edition of Middle East Energy (MEE) 2026 in Dubai, highlighting solutions designed to improve transmission efficiency, increase grid capacity and support the integration of renewable energy.
The three-day event is taking place from September 1–3 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, where DMB is presenting its latest high-performance conductor solutions to utilities and energy-sector stakeholders.
Advanced Conductors Target Grid Constraints
As electricity demand rises and renewable energy accounts for a growing share of power generation, transmission networks worldwide are facing increasing capacity constraints and bottlenecks. These limitations can contribute to renewable energy curtailment, making the expansion and modernisation of transmission infrastructure increasingly important to the global energy transition.
DMB is responding to these challenges by expanding its portfolio of High Temperature Low Sag (HTLS) conductor solutions.
The advanced conductors are designed to enable utilities to increase transmission capacity within existing corridors while improving network efficiency. According to the company, its advanced conductor solutions can deliver up to a 14% reduction in energy transmission losses compared with conventional conductor technologies.
The reduction in transmission losses can support improved grid performance and more efficient utilisation of electricity generated across power networks.
Supporting the UAE’s Energy Transition
DMB’s technology development aligns with the UAE’s broader efforts to expand energy infrastructure, improve energy efficiency and integrate more clean energy into its power system.
Under the UAE Energy Strategy 2050, the country is investing between AED 150 billion and AED 200 billion by 2030 to meet rising energy demand while expanding clean-energy capacity and improving overall energy efficiency.
By supplying advanced conductor solutions, DMB aims to contribute to more efficient, resilient and sustainable electricity infrastructure in the UAE and international markets facing similar challenges related to grid expansion and renewable-energy integration.
