Dubai Duty Free Posts Record-Breaking Sales in July 2025, Hits Dh 638.8 Million

Dubai Duty Free — the world’s largest single airport retailer — has achieved a record-breaking sales milestone in July 2025, generating Dh 638.8 million in monthly revenue. This performance marks the ninth highest-grossing month in the company's 41-year history and contributes to a year-to-date total of Dh 4.734 billion, representing a 5.86% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

This is also the fifth record-breaking month for Dubai Duty Free in 2025, underlining strong consumer confidence and sustained demand across key product categories.

Top-Selling Categories Drive Growth

The impressive results were largely driven by luxury brands, pre-owned goods, and a notable rise in traveler spending. The top five product categories in July were:

  • Perfumes: Sales grew by 10.3% year-on-year

  • Gold: Recorded a 15.5% surge

  • Confectionery: Saw a significant 57% jump compared to July 2024

  • Tobacco: Increased by 2.2%

  • Liquor: Rose by 1.7%

The sharp rise in confectionery and gold sales in particular highlights evolving traveler preferences, while the steady growth in perfumes, tobacco, and liquor reflects consistent consumer demand.

Momentum Builds for 2025

With five months of record-breaking performance already, Dubai Duty Free is on track for another strong financial year. The continued expansion of category offerings and strategic pricing initiatives appear to be playing a key role in boosting retail performance.
