Dubai Digital Launches Dubai Labor Force Survey 2024 to Enhance Economic Development

Dubai Digital, represented by the Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, has initiated the Dubai Labor Force Survey 2024, an ambitious project aimed at gathering detailed insights into the city’s labor force. This annual survey seeks to measure workforce size, employment and unemployment indicators, and provide timely demographic, social, and economic data, supporting Dubai’s broader economic and social development goals, particularly those outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.

In a statement encouraging public participation, His Excellency Younis Al Nasser, CEO of Dubai Data and Statistics Corporation, emphasized the survey's importance. “This initiative is crucial for providing decision-makers with accurate data to develop strategies and policies that enhance job opportunities and strengthen the local economy, thereby supporting Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33,” said Al Nasser. “Active involvement in this survey not only aids in understanding the workforce dynamics in the emirate but also enables government bodies to create opportunities for national talent.”

The survey, targeting 5,500 families across Dubai, will be conducted in a hybrid manner through telephone, email, and field visits to ensure comprehensive data collection. Running from October 1 through November 21, 2024, this approach allows for flexibility and aligns with privacy and data security standards.

The Dubai Labor Force Survey will offer an in-depth look at various workforce characteristics, including economic participation rates, occupational structures, unemployment levels, and digital skill competencies. Findings from the survey will inform policies aimed at promoting equal job opportunities and economic growth in Dubai.
