Dubai Culture’s ‘School of Life’ Initiative Returns to Public Libraries with Engaging Workshops and Activities

The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is set to relaunch its popular ‘School of Life’ initiative this September, coinciding with the ‘Back to School’ season. Under the theme ‘The Journey Begins Again,’ this program will be hosted across various Dubai Public Library branches, offering an array of educational workshops and interactive activities designed to foster creativity, enhance personal skills, and promote community engagement.

This year, the initiative will feature over 20 workshops and sessions through newly introduced clubs such as the Family Development Club, Wellness and Nutrition Club, Career Club, and Comics Club, in addition to the returning Cinema Club, Art Club, Chess Club, and Book Club. These sessions will cover a wide range of topics, from effective communication and time management to the intricacies of fine arts and the secrets of Japanese manga, all aimed at helping participants achieve a balanced work-life dynamic.

Notable workshops include ‘Youth Etiquette: Mind Your Manners’ at Al Mankhool Public Library, where students will learn essential etiquette, and the ‘Sustainability and Climate Action Workshop,’ which will focus on strategies to combat climate change. Cinema enthusiasts can look forward to sessions on video storytelling and editing, while art lovers can explore various creative techniques at the Al Safa Art and Design Library, including painting on mirrors, pots, and glass surfaces.

The initiative also emphasizes wellness, with sessions like ‘Jam Making’ and ‘Healthy Snack Creations’ that combine culinary skills with nutrition education. The Career Club at Al Twar Public Library will offer sessions on mastering job interviews, navigating the first job, and networking for professional growth.

Dubai Culture has officially registered the School of Life brand and logo as a trademark, ensuring the initiative’s continued growth and impact. The workshops will be led by experts and specialized trainers, providing participants with hands-on experiences that enrich their educational journey and encourage the exchange of ideas.
