Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy Expands North Star Initiative to 1,500 Startups Globally
The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, operating under the Dubai Chambers umbrella, in partnership with the Dubai World Trade Centre, has successfully concluded a series of 12 international roadshows to promote the Expand North Star initiative. This event, hailed as the world’s largest gathering for startups and investors, aims to connect the global tech community with Dubai’s burgeoning digital economy.
The roadshows, spanning cities across Poland, India, Brazil, China, Morocco, France, Switzerland, the UK, and the Netherlands, engaged with 1,500 startups. These events facilitated collaborative partnerships with ecosystem partners including venture capital firms, incubators, accelerators, and government-backed entities, all with the goal of attracting high-potential companies to Dubai.
Organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre and hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Expand North Star is designed to connect the most sought-after startups with innovators, investors, entrepreneurs, and founders of global success stories. This platform explores growth opportunities emerging in Dubai, catalyzing the future of the digital economy.
Each roadshow featured presentations on business opportunities in Dubai and the support available from the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy for startups looking to expand into the Dubai market. A highlight of these events was a pitch competition, where a winner from each city was selected to receive a fully sponsored visit and participation in the Expand North Star event. This four-day gathering is pivotal in attracting and connecting the global tech community to Dubai, offering a robust platform for networking, innovation, and collaboration.
