Community comes Together as Sharjah Media City (Shams) organises Blood Donation Campaign
As part of its social responsibility activities and to mark World Blood Donor Day, which is celebrated this month , Sharjah Media City (Shams) has organised a blood donation campaign at its headquarters today.
People from all segments of the community, as well as 50 members of the Shams team, took part in the initiative to donate blood and benefit those in need. The campaign events were also attended by H.E. Dr. Khalid Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Media City (Shams), and H.E. Shihab Alhammadi, Director of Shams along with other high-ranking Shams officials.
The campaign was organised in collaboration with the Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, an affiliate of the Emirates Health Services Establishment.
Donating blood is perhaps the most important kind of donation a person can make it can, very literally, save lives. At Shams, we are committed to supporting every segment of our community, and it is particularly critical to help those in need of medical assistance, who need more than just our material support. said H.E. It is heart-warming to see the significant turnout from the public and from our own team to donate blood. This embodies the UAEs values of solidarity and compassion, and supports efforts to ensure the health and wellbeing of the entire community.
