Known as the Region's most disruptive brand, Dubai-born start-up and technology-enabled car service, CAFU, was passed with the 'Gold Innovation in Sustainable Technologies' award at the fourth version of the Gulf Sustainability and CSR Awards, held in October 2020.

Recognized for their exceptional dedication to sustainable technology, CAFU spearheaded 'A Journey of Growth - from Passion to Future', highlighting the work on their latest Ghaf Tree project, which will see the farming of one million Ghaf Trees in the UAE, using CAFU's custom-built drone technology. This project was a dedication made by the Founder and CEO of CAFU, Rashid Al Ghurair, in their bid to fight climate change and give back to the planet.

Competing against the region's most famous companies from diverse industries, CAFU achieved the greatest score and successfully won the hearts of the judges, making them the Gold Award winners for the 'Innovation in Sustainable Technologies' category.

Nabra Al Busaidi, Head of Sustainability and Community at CAFU said "We are sincerely honoured to receive this prestigious award for our unique changes in driving the region, and the world towards a sustainable future. As a business that prides itself on cutting-edge innovation, it is our duty to our nation and the world to use our technology for good to not only design solutions that make our services easier and smarter but also to share our ideas, insights and ability to create scalable answers for the rest of the world".

Ticking off another milestone, CAFU was also granted by H.H. Sheikh Sultan Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for the most excellent work of collecting over 2 million Ghaf Tree seeds in the Emirate of Sharjah, earlier this year. Changing car services to be simpler and smarter, CAFU's win highlights their constant effort to make lives simpler and help more convenient for their customers, with sustainability being their utmost priority.
