Augusta Spinelli Appointed as SAP’s Regional President for EMEA
Global enterprise software leader SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) has appointed Augusta Spinelli as the new Regional President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), effective immediately. The appointment signals a strong push to reinforce SAP’s growth and innovation across its vast EMEA network.
Spinelli takes charge of SAP’s operations across 53 offices in 89 countries within the EMEA region. Her responsibilities will include spearheading business growth, driving digital transformation among customers, and strengthening collaboration with SAP’s product engineering and partner ecosystems. Notably, the EMEA region does not include the 26 countries under SAP Middle & Eastern Europe (MEE), led by Alex Kläger, which encompasses Germany, Switzerland, and Central and Eastern Europe.
An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, Spinelli has held various leadership roles within SAP since joining the company in 2001 as a production planning consultant. Most recently, she served as Executive Vice President and Global Head of SAP’s Adoption Services Center, where she was instrumental in scaling the adoption of SAP solutions worldwide.
Spinelli succeeds Manos Raptopoulos, who was appointed to SAP’s Extended Board as Chief Revenue Officer for APAC, EMEA, and MEE earlier this year. Commenting on her appointment, Raptopoulos said:

Throughout her tenure, Spinelli has worked across various cultures and markets, gaining in-depth knowledge of the region. Her prior role as Services General Manager for EMEA gave her valuable exposure to many of SAP’s key customers and operations in the region. She holds a master’s degree in Industrial Technology and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano and is currently based in Dubai.
