ATERMES to showcase cutting-edge surveillance technology at IDEX 2025
SURICATE – the next-generation multispectral threat detection system
Dubai, UAE, February 16, 2025 – ATERMES, a French leader in advanced surveillance and security solutions, is set to make a significant impact at IDEX 2025, the Middle East’s premier defense exhibition in Abu Dhabi. At the event, ATERMES will unveil SURICATE, its groundbreaking advanced multispectral threat detection system, reinforcing its commitment to providing cutting-edge security solutions tailored to the region’s evolving challenges.
SURICATE is a next-generation smart surveillance system that integrates state-of-the-art multispectral sensors, embedded artificial intelligence (AI), and edge computing. This advanced technology enables real-time object detection, classification, and tracking with unparalleled accuracy, even in complex and high-risk environments. With deep-learning capabilities, the system continuously evolves, adapting to dynamic security threats.
Unlike conventional surveillance tools, SURICATE functions as a virtual operator, seamlessly integrating real-time threat analysis with intelligent decision-making. By processing and interpreting critical data rapidly, it enhances situational awareness, allowing defense and security forces to respond swiftly and effectively to emerging threats.
ATERMES will demonstrate three critical security applications of SURICATE at IDEX 2025, showcasing its superior performance in various operational scenarios.
For border protection, the system’s high-resolution multispectral imaging provides continuous, wide-area surveillance for border security. Its AI-driven detection capabilities enable real-time identification of threats, including human and vehicular movements across vast and remote areas. SURICATE strengthens border control operations by preventing illegal crossings, smuggling, and security breaches.
In drone detection, SURICATE addresses the rising security risks posed by UAVs, utilizing AI-powered detection algorithms and multispectral sensors to track and classify drones with precision. Its ability to distinguish between benign and potentially malicious aerial objects makes it a crucial tool for military installations, critical infrastructure, and large-scale public events.
For airport safety and bird strike prevention, SURICATE’s advanced detection and tracking capabilities enable early warnings, helping airports mitigate wildlife hazards and enhance flight safety. When integrated with ATERMES’ A-TOM550 laser system, it provides a comprehensive bird-strike prevention solution, ensuring safer skies.
