Arabsat powers its new state-of-the-art cloud-playout services through Grass Valley’s AMPP Platform
Grass Valley, a leader in live production solutions, has announced that Arabsat has selected its AMPP SaaS platform to underpin a new suite of broadcast transmission services. Arabsat, a prominent global satellite operator, delivers over 700 TV and radio channels to more than 80 countries.
The new services, based on Playout X, an AMPP-based SaaS solution, will enable Arabsat customers to broadcast high-quality signals with increased flexibility and efficiency. Alhamedi Alanezi, CEO & President of Arabsat, highlighted the benefits of this new technology: “These new AMPP-based services will allow our customers to set up a new TV channel in just a few minutes. The agile, accessible, and scalable cloud-based transmission technology is also more affordable, allowing us to reach many new customers.”
Arabsat's new offerings include three playout products: TV Starter, TV Advanced, and TV Pinnacle. These services utilize state-of-the-art private cloud infrastructure and the GV AMPP orchestration platform. TV Starter and TV Advanced cater to broadcasters' needs for high-quality, reliable playout in a cost-effective package. TV Pinnacle is a sophisticated cloud production and playout system designed to handle multiple live sources for the most demanding events.
Grass Valley's CEO and Chairman, Louis Hernandez, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We’re extremely gratified to be partnering with Arabsat on this TV transmission paradigm shift. Both companies have a long track record of leadership, and this collaboration represents the next logical step in the ease, scalability, and affordability of television distribution.”
This partnership between Arabsat and Grass Valley signifies a major advancement in broadcast technology, promising to enhance the quality and accessibility of television transmission for broadcasters globally.
