Annual internship program by Raytheon Emirates fosters defense and aerospace industry eco-system

Raytheon Emirates, a Raytheon Technologies subsidiary, has introduced its annual internship program promoting the United Arab Emirates vision to develop highly-skilled Emirati talent. The internship offers on-the-job training to 18 students to equip them with skills to enhance their future careers and ambitions.

The Emirati undergraduates to join the program are from Abu Dhabi University, Zayed University, Khalifa University, Higher Colleges of Technology, Abu Dhabi Polytechnic, and the U.S.-based Pennsylvania State University. Of the 18 students, 13 are being placed within Raytheon Emirates Cyber Security and Legal and Business Development departments in Abu Dhabi. The other five interns will gain practical aerospace experience at the Collins Aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) center in Dubai. Collins Aerospace is a Raytheon Technologies unit.

This internship program fosters aspiring Emirati technical and functional talent while presenting them with the opportunity to gain real-life exposure to their future professions, said Alan Davis, Raytheon Emirates chief executive. We are committed to help empower the local knowledge base, accelerate the development of national human capabilities and support the expansion of the UAE defense and aerospace ecosystem.
