Al Ansari Exchange, the UAE’s largest remittance and foreign exchange company and a subsidiary of Al Ansari Financial Services, has partnered with UnionPay International to launch MoneyExpress, a real-time remittance service to China. This pioneering collaboration positions Al Ansari Exchange as the first exchange company in the GCC to directly integrate with UnionPay’s global infrastructure, offering instant, transparent, and fully digital cross-border money transfers.

The launch was announced during Seamless Middle East 2025, with the agreement signed in the presence of Mr. Ali Al Najjar, Chief Operating Officer of Al Ansari Exchange, and Mr. Luping Zhang, General Manager for the Middle East at UnionPay International.

A New Benchmark in Digital Remittances

MoneyExpress revolutionizes traditional remittance channels by offering:

  • Real-time fund transfers directly to UnionPay cards in Chinese Renminbi (RMB)

  • Upfront exchange rate confirmation with no intermediary or hidden bank charges

  • Direct-to-recipient transactions, ensuring speed, transparency, and convenience

The fully digital interface eliminates unnecessary delays and costs, providing UAE residents with a secure and cost-effective solution to send money to China.

Leadership Comments

Ali Al Najjar, COO of Al Ansari Exchange, stated:

“Digital innovation is at the heart of our strategy, and the launch of MoneyExpress marks a significant step forward in cross-border payment solutions. By directly integrating with UnionPay’s network, we are removing traditional barriers to remittance, delivering a faster, more cost-effective, and customer-centric solution that strengthens our position as a digital leader in financial services.”

Luping Zhang, General Manager for the Middle East at UnionPay International, added:

“We are pleased to partner with Al Ansari Exchange to introduce MoneyExpress in the UAE. This service offers customers a secure, real-time, and cost-effective way to send money to China. With upfront exchange rate settlement and direct crediting in RMB, it simplifies the process and eliminates hidden fees, enhancing convenience for senders and recipients alike.”

A Strategic Milestone for the Region

With more than 270 branches and strong digital platforms, Al Ansari Exchange is well-positioned to offer cutting-edge financial services. The launch of MoneyExpress is not only a major achievement for the UAE’s remittance landscape but also sets the foundation for future collaborations that will expand access to secure and efficient payment solutions across emerging corridors worldwide.
