AIQ Deploys SMARTi Intelligent Operational Safety Monitoring on ADNOC L&S Vessels

AIQ, an Abu Dhabi-based leader in AI-driven solutions for the energy sector, has successfully deployed its cutting-edge SMARTi Intelligent Operational Safety Monitoring solution across 86 vessels in the ADNOC Logistics and Services (ADNOC L&S) fleet. This deployment is part of ADNOC's broader strategy to integrate advanced AI technologies throughout its value chain, reinforcing its commitment to achieving 100% Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance.

SMARTi leverages advanced AI algorithms to analyze real-time video streams, performing over 1 billion predictions daily. The technology enables rapid detection and classification of safety behaviors, incidents, and hazardous situations, significantly enhancing onboard safety by integrating seamlessly with existing CCTV platforms.

Dr. Christopher Cooper, CEO of AIQ, commented, "The successful deployment of SMARTi on ADNOC L&S vessels showcases AIQ's role in delivering cutting-edge, homegrown AI technology to the core of the energy sector. We are excited to expand the reach of this innovative solution across more vessels within the ADNOC L&S fleet and into broader industrial applications."

ADNOC L&S is utilizing the UAE-developed SMARTi solution to enhance safety through automated monitoring, detection, and reporting of safety protocol violations and incidents on its vessels. The technology's ability to detect the absence of personal protective equipment, unauthorized entry into restricted areas, slips, falls, and other critical safety scenarios is a significant advancement in maritime safety.

Captain Abdulkareem Al Masabi, CEO of ADNOC L&S, emphasized, "The deployment of AIQ’s SMARTi technology on our ships reflects our unwavering commitment to 100% HSE. We continue to invest in innovative solutions that optimize our operations and add value for our business and customers. Ensuring the safety of our people on board is a top priority, and SMARTi plays a crucial role in achieving this goal."

Previously known as Smart Vessel, SMARTi is recognized for its ability to process a vast number of images daily with over 90% accuracy. The solution is expected to see further deployment beyond the initial vessels, expanding its applications across various industrial sectors.
