ADCMC Signs MoU with Space42 to Enhance AI-Driven Crisis Management at GITEX 2024

The Emergencies, Crises, and Disasters Management Centre Abu Dhabi (ADCMC) announced a significant partnership with Space42 during the 44th edition of GITEX Global. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed to boost Abu Dhabi's crisis management systems by incorporating advanced AI-powered data collection and analysis technologies.

The MoU, signed by H.E. Dr. Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri, Executive Director of the Response and Recovery Sector at ADCMC, and Abdulla Al Shamsi, Chief Operating Officer at Bayanat Smart Solutions, Space42, focuses on enhancing the Emirate’s capabilities in surveillance, prevention, preparedness, and disaster recovery. It will equip ADCMC employees with advanced skills in data analysis and the use of AI technologies, along with organizing workshops and conferences to promote knowledge-sharing.

H.E. Dr. Abdulla Rashid Hamarain Al Dhaheri remarked, "This agreement aligns with ADCMC's strategy to improve civil protection and disaster readiness. It also reinforces collaboration between public and private sectors in Abu Dhabi, boosting our ability to predict and respond to crises with enhanced data analysis tools."

Abdulla Al Shamsi emphasized that this collaboration strengthens Abu Dhabi’s overall preparedness by leveraging AI-driven solutions, ensuring long-term resilience and security for both local and global communities.

ADCMC also unveiled its new Training and Exercise System at GITEX, a core component of its Crisis Management Platform aimed at further enhancing the Emirate’s emergency response capabilities. The Centre's platform at the event featured interactive activities showcasing cutting-edge technologies in crisis and disaster management.

The Centre’s participation at GITEX reaffirms its dedication to employing AI-driven data and analysis technologies to enhance public safety and emergency response in Abu Dhabi.
