This weekend, Dubai's most iconic landmark, the Burj Khalifa, will celebrate a significant milestone—its 15th birthday! Officially opening on January 4, 2010, after just six years of construction, the Burj Khalifa has become a symbol of innovation and architectural wonder, a beacon of Dubai's growth, and a marvel of human engineering.

The extravagant display drew crowds who eagerly waited for hours to witness the magnificent show—a tradition that continues to captivate Dubai's residents and visitors.

But don’t worry if you missed the grandeur of the New Year’s Eve event! The Burj Khalifa is offering you another chance to experience the light and laser show until March 31, 2025. While the fireworks won’t be part of the show, the dazzling lights will continue to light up the Dubai skyline, with performances at 8:30pm, 9:15pm, and 10:15pm. If you’ve seen the Burj Khalifa’s light shows before, get ready for an upgrade! Back in November 2024, it was reported that the exterior of the Burj Khalifa received a complete facelift with a new lighting system. The RGBW (red, green, blue, white) lights now create a more dynamic, colour-changing effect, replacing the previous static lighting. This upgrade ensures that the Burj Khalifa’s nightly light show is even more dazzling and immersive, making it even more of a must-see spectacle.

But it’s not just about the Burj Khalifa—if you’re heading to Dubai Mall to catch the show, make sure to enjoy the Dubai Fountain show as well.
