Sheikha Latifa Hails UAE Youth Orchestra's Historic Vienna Performances

Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, has congratulated the National Youth Orchestra Dubai and its Strings Camerata Orchestra following their landmark performances in Vienna, where they became the first Emirati orchestra to perform at several of the world's leading concert venues.

In a message shared on July 8, Sheikha Latifa praised the young musicians for achieving another milestone in the orchestra's growing international journey, describing the Vienna tour as a significant accomplishment for the UAE's cultural sector.

She noted that the performances, supported by Dubai Culture through its Dubai Cultural Grant programme, build on the orchestra's successful international debut in New York last year and further strengthen the UAE's presence on the global classical music stage.

"We are proud of what the National Youth Orchestra Dubai and its Strings Camerata Orchestra have achieved during their Vienna tour, becoming the first Emirati orchestra to perform at a number of the world's leading concert venues," Sheikha Latifa said, adding that the achievement continues the orchestra's journey of international excellence.

She also highlighted the importance of investing in young talent, saying the orchestra's success demonstrates the value of nurturing creativity and empowering future generations.

According to Sheikha Latifa, the milestone reinforces Dubai's commitment to supporting emerging artists and creating opportunities for local talent to showcase their abilities on prestigious international platforms.

The Dubai Cultural Grant programme, which supported the Vienna tour, aims to empower creatives and promote Dubai's cultural and artistic landscape both regionally and internationally.

The orchestra's latest performances mark another significant step in expanding the UAE's cultural footprint, showcasing Emirati musical talent at some of the world's most renowned classical music venues.
