Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026 Sets One-Billion-Step Goal Across 21 Residential Communities
Dubai Residential has set a collective target of one billion steps across its 21 communities as the 10th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) approaches, encouraging more than 146,000 residents to embrace an active lifestyle.
The initiative will run from October 31 to November 29, 2026, in support of DFC’s popular 30x30 challenge. Dubai Residential, which owns and operates one of Dubai’s largest residential leasing portfolios, is organising the programme in collaboration with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Sports Council.
How Residents Can Join the One-Billion-Step Challenge
Residents can participate by downloading the fitze app, which tracks daily steps and provides rewards based on the goals participants achieve.
Steps recorded through the app between October 31 and November 29 will contribute towards the collective one-billion-step target across the participating communities.
The initiative aims to bring residents together through a shared fitness goal while offering incentives to encourage regular physical activity.
Dubai Fitness Challenge 2026: Rewards and Prizes
Participants will have opportunities to win a range of rewards during the month-long challenge.
The top five participants overall will each receive a 12-month Careem Plus membership, while the next five participants will each be awarded a six-month membership.
Residents can also compete for a share of Dh1 million in rewards through the fitze app during DFC. Prizes include international trips, staycations, dining experiences, shopping vouchers and other offers.
Talabat to Provide Hydration Support at Community Events
Talabat will serve as the exclusive hydration partner for community fitness events throughout the challenge. Residents and families attending these events will be eligible to receive complimentary Talabat Pro subscriptions.
The partnership adds further incentives for residents to take part in community activities during the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
Dubai Fitness Challenge Marks Its 10th Edition
The 2026 edition marks the 10th year of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, which encourages residents to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 days through its 30x30 initiative.
Through the one-billion-step target, Dubai Residential aims to mobilise residents across its 21 communities around a common fitness objective, combining activity tracking, community participation and rewards.
