What best to do this weekend in Dubai?
With so many events happening in different parts of the city, choosing the best becomes even more difficult! Spoiled with choices, our team at Day of Dubai sat down to filter the best of best for its readers so as to reduce the confusion. So here are the best two things you can do to ensure yourself a well-spent weekend.
Qasr Al Watan is calling you!
If you are the type of person interested in art, literature, antiques, history and the likes, we suggest that you drive to the capital city this weekend, without a second thought. The newly opened cultural landmark in the UAE, Qasr Al Watan is where you will enjoy a fruitful Friday. Delve yourself deeper into the rich culture and heritage of the UAE, immerse yourself in the unparalleled magnificence of the place that narrates stories of the yore within itself. Walking around the place will surely be an exquisite experience that entertains and informs. The outdoor gardens are open to the visitors enabling you to saunter around the lush green as well. In the evening, you can also enjoy the light-and-sound show that transposes you to a surreal place.

Splash the colours of happiness!
If you find the idea of visiting a palace boring, and instead, prefer some noise, music and movement, then we have the best plan B for you. Splash some colours and spread the happiness of Holi! Holi is a festival of colours that marks the start of spring, and for some, it refers to the start of the New Year. Holi is, in fact, a festival that celebrates changing seasons and brings people together. If you are in for the fun, then drive straight to Zabeel Park, Gate No. 3 Mega Ball Arena, this Friday, to make some noise at the Holi Hai-Color Mele May Machaiye Huddangg. And even better, joining you are Bollywood singers Sukanya Ghosh, Archana Mahajan, Ehsaas Band and DJ Danish. The Gates will be opened by 10 am and entry is Dh50. Tickets are available on Platinum List. Make sure youre there!
