UAE, Represented by DEWA, Ranks First in the World in Getting Electricity as per World Banks Report
The UAE, represented by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), placed initially on the planet in getting electrical energy, according to the World Bank's Operating 2018 report. The report uses several standards to gauge the ease of doing business in 190 countries.
DEWA's Al Namoos (Emirati word that defines a race winner) service provides professionals and service providers with electrical power connections of approximately 150 kilowatts (kW) in just two steps within 10 days. The first step takes 8 days, and includes the application for power links with low-voltage cable televisions, with the very first regular monthly costs postponed up until after the power is linked. The 2nd step takes two days and includes technical assessment and operation of the final service.

Al Tayer commended the role of specialists and professionals who proactively took part in the creative thinking labs and workshops that DEWA arranged. Participants made recommendations for continuous renovations that promote and speed up the mechanism of accessibility to electricity services, in accordance with the highest possible worldwide standards and practices.
DEWA has achieved competitive cause efficiency and reliability, as compared to European and American energies. It has reduced losses from electrical energy transmission and distribution networks to 3.3% as compared to 6-7% in Europe and the United States, and water network losses were decreased to 8%, compared with 15% in North America, which is among ideal results in the world. DEWA also achieved 3.28 customer mins lost annually compared to 15 minutes in Europe.
