H.E. Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education, participated in the 10th Meeting of GCC Ministers of Education in Bahrain, where ministers discussed shared education priorities and ways to strengthen cooperation among Gulf countries.

The meeting focused on enhancing coordination and alignment across GCC education systems and advancing joint initiatives in response to changing educational needs.

Focus on knowledge exchange

During the meeting, Al Amiri highlighted the importance of continued coordination and the exchange of expertise and best practices among GCC countries.

She noted that closer cooperation can contribute to improving education quality and developing more flexible and future-ready education systems that equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for the future.

The agenda included several education initiatives and programmes aimed at strengthening joint Gulf efforts. Discussions also covered mechanisms for expanding knowledge exchange and sharing successful practices in education.

UAE reaffirms commitment to GCC cooperation

Al Amiri reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and integration in education across the Gulf.

She said the UAE would continue working with fellow GCC states on joint initiatives that support future generations, foster a strong sense of identity and prepare young people to contribute to the region’s sustainable development.

The meeting forms part of ongoing GCC efforts to coordinate education policies and initiatives while supporting the development priorities of member states.
