In Top Gear! Dubai Taxi Drivers Receive Complimentary Dental Check-ups and Bone Density Screenings
Dubai Dental Clinic(DDC) and Dubai Bone and Joint Center (DBAJ) has worked together with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to recognize the hard work and dedication of Dubai's cabby by supplying complimentary bone density testings and dental checks.
Doctors from both Dubai Health care City-based clinics provided Dubai cabby, that play an important function in keeping the emirate relocating, with expert health care and recommendations. The drivers were given a complete oral examination and assessment by DDC's expert group of multi-specialists and received bone densitometer testing and examinations from DBAJ's popular bone and joint musculoskeletal clinicians.
Bone density scanning measures bone loss. This non-invasive modern technology checks for weakening of bones - an illness where the bones end up being fragile and remain at a high risk of breakage.
Dr. Ali Al Hammadi, representative for DBAJ, said: Taxi drivers play in keeping Dubai relocating. They spend long hours being in the same setting and joint and muscular tissue pains are not unusual for people used as expert vehicle drivers. This initiative underscores our dedication to provide individuals with musculoskeletal-related discomfort an opportunity to live pain-free lives.
It is a credit to the RTA that it recognizes the significance of the health and wellbeing of its employees. We care about the community and we give thanks to RTA authorities for giving us the possibility to offer something back to those that work tirelessly to offer areas in Dubai."
Dr. Khawla Humaid Belhoul, Director of DDC, added: We strive to provide quality dental care to different segments of society because we care to see people smile. It is important that those employed in the service industry have the confidence to smile every day, so by passing on our expert oral healthcare knowledge to these drivers, Dubai commuters will continue to benefit from smiling taxi drivers.
The joint initiative is among number of programs carried out by the RTA to keep track of and enhance the well-being of its workforce.
