Three Overturned Ship Hulls at the Italian Pavilion Expo 2020 Dubai
Dubai, 26-03-2019: The Italy Pavilion was recently revealed with a design that took form from three overturned ship hulls in the shades of the countrys national flag. The pavilion will narrate an engaging story that spotlights the nations achievements in various fields like art, tech, engineering and sustainability.
Visitors at the pavilion will get to experience the nations celebration of beauty as a connecting influence with the theme Beauty that connects people as they walk across. At the threshold of the pavilion is a prologue featuring spaces inspired by the traditional piazze and at the end is a grand finale that reminds one of the Italian skyline.
An exceptional feature about the Italian Pavilion is its exotic exteriors with the ship hulls propped up on pillars to resemble petals in green, white and red. The ship hulls play a major role in conveying a message, other than mere aesthetic pleasure. The hulls have been inculcated into the pavilion with such importance so as to celebrate the historical Italian explorers, the nations seafaring prowess and its modern fishing industry, while further underlining the circular economy, which aims to minimize waste by reusing, repurposing and recycling.
Apart from this, visitors will get to indulge themselves in a number of cultural and business programme by Italy at the Expo 2020 site.
