Statement by H.E. Ali Salem Al Kaabi on the UAE President’s Dedication to Senior Citizens
H.E. Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), has commended the legislation issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi. The law expands the Foundation’s mandate to include providing essential guidance for families and comprehensive care for senior citizens.
Honoring Senior Citizens' Contributions
H.E. Al Kaabi highlighted that the new legislation reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's profound appreciation for senior citizens' contributions to the nation’s development. The law emphasizes honoring their legacy, ensuring their rights, and enabling their continued societal involvement.
He stated:
“This legislation underscores His Highness’s vision of fostering family cohesion, strengthening community bonds, and prioritizing stability and quality of life as both humanitarian imperatives and national responsibilities.”

H.E. Al Kaabi reiterated the FDF's dedication to improving the lives of senior citizens through targeted programs and initiatives. He acknowledged the enduring support of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Known as the ‘Mother of the Nation,’ Her Highness has been instrumental in driving initiatives that empower senior citizens to thrive in environments tailored to their needs, aspirations, and contributions to national progress.
